Our Projects
Daresbury Proteins
We recently completed a joint InnovateUK BridgeAI grant developing AI-led protein expression design platforms to produce growth factors for Cellular Agriculture and Cell Therapy Manufacturing.
ValitaCell
ValitaCell was a Dublin-based bioprocessing bioanalytics company. It successfully exited to Beckman Coulter Life Sciences in 2022. We built and led their Data Team driving new technology for cell phenotyping and AI image analysis. We also soft launched products and supported their exit.
CELLIMAGE
CELLIMAGE was a large Irish government DTIF grant to develop new AI analytics to support Stem Cell Therapy manufacturing in collaboration with the University of Galway, Waters (mass spectrometry) and Intel. We ideated and funded the project, then built the AI team and led laboratory and SW development interactions. This project created AI Connect for Scientific Data (AiCSD) from Intel - a connectivity solution for Edge AI workloads.
Multus Biotechnology Ltd
Multus design cell culture media by combining lab robotics and AI in a closed-loop optimisation platform. We’re supporting their expansion into Biopharma by designing marketing content, building customer funnels and overseeing sales strategies. We’re also supporting on fundraising.
UK Medicines Discovery Catapult
We were commissioned to report on Sustainability issues and opportunities in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing.
The majority of emissions are associated with the energy costs of filtering air (HVAC) and water (water-for-injection grade).
University of Salford & IBIC
We supported an IBIC Relationship Development project between university academics and industry partners.
With our help, the team aligned around a business canvas and pitch deck to commercialise their Plant Natural Product Extraction expertise.
LYVA Labs - Industrial Biotechnology
LYVA are the Liverpool City Region’s Innovation Agency. We provided domain expertise to profile Industrial Biotechnology academics, companies and wider stakeholders in and around Liverpool. We formulated plans to increase academic-company and company-company interactions, and to support bioprocess scaleup.
LYVA Labs & iiCON - microbiomes
iiCON funded LYVA to explore barriers to commercialising microbiome research. We were commissioned to understand Data Science and Informatics barriers. We interviewed dozens of stakeholders, and designed and led three workshops on Personal Care; Food, Water and the Process Industries; and One Health (human and animal medicine).
Low-Energy Computing
We provided Technology Development to integrate a novel coprocessor into AI frameworks to implement fast, low-energy operations for Deep Learning.
Confidential partner
As employees of universities, startups or MNCs, we’ve also worked in AI, Omics, Systems Biology, PAT, Pandemic Response, Process Modelling and Optimisation, Synthetic Biology, Anaerobic Digestion, C1 Fixation, Cancer Research, Natural Language Processing, Data Integration and Standards, Ontologies, Graph Databases, …
